During your consultation, you’ll meet Dr. Larson to discuss your goals and set realistic expectations. He may discuss your weight, lifestyle, and plans for the future, as these can impact the longevity of your results.
To help you visualize the outcome of your procedure, Dr. Larson may draw silhouettes or use the Vectra H2 3D Imaging System so you can feel more confident in your decisions. He will also explain any risks with the procedure and your expected recovery timeline. Before your procedure, you will meet with Dr. Larson once more to confirm that you are comfortable with the decision and to have all of your questions answered.
Procedure
We may draw blood and do a mammogram before the procedure to ensure you’re healthy. Just before your surgery begins, Dr. Larson will use patterns to mark the correct areas for incision, placing these marks according to your natural anatomy and your goals. The total surgery length lasts 2-4 hours.
We may insert an absorbable mesh that acts as an internal bra to help support the breasts. This is something we can discuss during a consultation.
In many cases, Dr. Larson can reposition your existing breast tissue to provide for an “auto augmentation”. This repositioning can enhance upper pole fullness and help to create the look of a breast augmentation without the use of implants.
Post-Surgery
