We don’t guess. We evaluate. At your consult, we review your history, sun habits, Fitzpatrick type, barrier health, and timing. VISIA® imaging helps us see subsurface pigment and redness so we pick the right treatment the first time at our med spa in Tucson.
We choose based on five things:
- Primary concern: pigment/redness, texture/pores, fine lines, acne/scars, or “my skin just looks tired.”
- Skin tone & sensitivity: how your skin handles heat, light, and actives.
- Downtime window: days vs. none.
- Season & sun exposure: hiking season or event season?
- Your goals: quick boost vs. deeper reset.
When we decide which treatment:
- Facials + medical-grade skincare when your barrier needs love, you’re dehydrated, or congestion hides your glow. Expect instant radiance and better tolerance for future peels or lasers.
- Chemical peels when superficial pigment, dullness, or fine texture need a tidy refresh. We keep depths conservative for melasma-prone or darker skin tones and plan for a few days of light flaking.
- Microneedling (with or without PRF) when you want collagen support without energy/heat—great for fine lines and acne scars across all skin tones, with 1 to 3 days of redness.
- Light & laser:
- BBL® for browns/reds from desert sun; expect “peppering” that resolves over 3 to 7 days.
- Moxi® for tone and early lines with long-weekend social downtime.
- Halo® when texture, scars, or etched lines call for a deeper reset (plan several social days in).
- ClearSilk when you want a same-day, zero-downtime collagen nudge.
Sequencing matters. We often repair the barrier, clear pigment/redness, refine texture, and maintain with ClearSilk and skincare. Safety comes first. We avoid aggressive treatments during pregnancy, pause if there’s an active cold sore, and adjust plans if you’ve used isotretinoin recently. You’ll always understand the why behind each choice, and what to do at home to maintain your results.
