A modern facelift (rhytidectomy) addresses more than loose skin. We carefully elevate and reposition the deeper support layer of the face (often called the SMAS) and, when needed, the neck’s platysma to restore natural cheek, jawline, and neckline definition. Small, well-hidden incisions follow the hairline and around the ear’s natural curves. This placement lets us lift, remove excess skin, and contour without a “pulled” look.
When volume has thinned with age, subtle fat grafting can soften hollows (for example, the midface or temples). If fullness under the chin contributes to jowling, we may add precise liposuction. Based on your unique anatomy, your provider chooses techniques to help you look refreshed and achieve your aesthetic goals.
