When you look years older than you feel due to wrinkles, lax skin and drooping facial contours, a subtle facelift with Dr. Larson can restore your fresh and vibrant appearance.

Are You Ready For A Facelift?

The reality is that there is no “perfect” age for a facelift. Most of our patients gradually realize the time has come for this procedure after a few years of noticing more wrinkles, drooping tissue and other telltale signs of aging.

When you are ready to rejuvenate your face and turn back the clock a few years, there is no better destination than Dr. Larson’s Tucson office. With a conservative hand and a keen eye for natural beauty, he has mastered the art and science of helping our clients age with grace.

Are You A Candidate?

The facelift can be an appropriate procedure for a wide range of patients.

In general, the ideal candidate:

  • Is between the ages of 40 and 70
  • Has elastic and flexible skin that can tolerate stretching for the procedure
  • Has a strong underlying bone structure to support new facial contours
  • Wants to firm loose neck or facial skin and smooth wrinkles

How To Customize Your Facelift Procedure

There are countless ways to customize your facelift so that it works for you. Here is a quick look at just a few of the many options that are available:

The traditional, full facelift is designed to address the most advanced signs of aging.

With incisions that extend from the temple to the ear and neck, this procedure rejuvenates the eyes, cheeks, mouth, neck and more.

The mini facelift is ideal for younger patients with early signs of aging.

The procedure involves smaller incisions that are located within the hairline and behind the ears. Through those openings, Dr. Larson will mainly rejuvenate the jaw and lower cheeks.

The lower facelift is ideal for refreshing the bottom third region of the face.

It can target jowls, folds around the mouth, and a lax jawline. The incisions are similar to those of a mini facelift, and can be hidden within the hairline and behind the ears.

The mid facelift exclusively targets the area around the eyes and cheeks.

It has the unique benefit of smoothing away creases in this area, while also sculpting more defined cheekbones and facial contours. Like the mini facelift, it tends to be ideal for younger patients.

What To Expect On Surgery Day

Dr. Larson will perform your facelift under general anesthesia. The length of the procedure will depend on the technique you’ve chosen, with the traditional facelift lasting the longest.

To begin, Dr. Larson will create the incisions discussed during your initial consultation. He will place them carefully to allow optimal access to your underlying facial structures, while also ensuring that the resulting scars are concealed.

Through those openings, Dr. Larson will remove unwanted fat, tighten lax muscles, and trim away excess skin. He will then wrap your face in bandages and move you to the recovery room, where you will be closely monitored.
