He completed his internship and residency in Washington DC at Georgetown University with Dr. Scott Spear and Maurice Nahabedian, who are both renowned for breast reconstruction surgeries. Dr. Larson went on to train under Peter Neligan, a world-famous microsurgeon at the University of Washington in Seattle, before returning to Arizona.
