24 yo FTM top surgery. Double incision. Nipple was kept alive on its own blood supply via a dermal pedicle. This is possible in some cases where the nipple is in a favorable position in relation to the inframammary fold. This gives a higher likelihood of nipple erectile function and sensation. Note that binding can cause loss of volume and skin changes. These can become more apparent after top surgery. They can be corrected at a later date with fat grafting or a pec implant. The first post op pic is 1 month after surgery. The second is 4 months after surgery. Note how the swelling improves with time.
